Privacy Policy
This policy describes how One Clear Idea Publisher, a private single-user Windows application, accesses and handles information when using YouTube API Services.
Application owner and user
The application is operated by and for the owner of the One Clear Idea channel. It is not offered to third parties and has no public user accounts.
YouTube API Services
One Clear Idea Publisher uses YouTube API Services. By authorizing the application, the user also remains subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Information accessed and stored
- OAuth authorization tokens granted by the channel owner.
- The authorized channel ID and channel title.
- Video metadata supplied by the owner, including titles, descriptions, tags, and visibility choices.
- YouTube upload identifiers, processing status, error details, and publication links.
The application never asks for or stores the user's Google or YouTube password.
How information is used
Information is used only to upload videos expressly selected by the owner, apply owner-selected metadata and visibility, resume interrupted uploads, confirm processing, prevent duplicate uploads, and maintain an operational audit trail.
Storage and security
Authorization tokens are encrypted with Windows Data Protection API for the current Windows user. Operational records are stored in a local SQLite database on the owner's computer. The public information site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or account registration.
Sharing and sale
User information and YouTube API data are not sold, rented, shared for advertising, or disclosed to third parties. Data is transmitted to Google only as required to use YouTube API Services.
Retention and deletion
Authorization tokens are retained only while the application remains connected. API-sourced operational data is deleted or refreshed within 30 days when required. The sole user can disconnect the application and request deletion of locally stored data at any time. Deletion requests are completed as soon as possible and within seven calendar days. Deleting local application data does not delete content stored by YouTube.
Revoke access
The user can revoke the application's access through Google Security permissions. Revoking access prevents future API calls but does not delete videos already stored by YouTube.
Contact
For privacy questions, complaints, or deletion requests, contact the developer using the business inquiry contact method on the One Clear Idea channel About page.
Changes
This policy will be updated before the application begins accessing or using information in a materially different way. The effective date above identifies the current version.
